God is AWESOME!!!

God is simply amazing. He is amazing how he works, how He decides to show himself. Take healings for example. A lot of people don't believe that God physically heals anymore; that He doesn't perform miracles. But I can tell you from personal experience that he does.

For example, a couple months ago I wrenched my back pretty bad where I could hardly walk. I was in a tremendous amount of pain, and anything I did hurt my lower back. I couldn't really walk, sit, or stand, and I couldn't lay down in one position for very long before the pain was just too much. I really needed to get in to see a chiropractor, but didn't have the money. Wed. night is our prayer night down at church, and even though I was hurting pretty bad, I was really bored at home by myself and wanted to be around poeple, so I went down to church. I brought along my heating pad and actually laid down on the floor for a little bit while everyone was still arriving. Once we all got there and started praying, everyone asked if it would be okay to pray over me. I thought this was a wonderful idea, so I slowly and painfully got up off the floor and sat in a chair they gave me.

I had some people gather around me and each of them laid a hand on my shoulder or my back or my head. I also had someone hold my feet out in front of me. What I noticed with my feet out in front of me was that one leg was a little longer than the other. This is a sure-fire sign that my back was out of place. So, we started praying. Little by little the pain started to ease away, and I actually watched as my legs became the same length again. That means that my bones were going back into place and my spine was getting aligned (remember that hte only hting happening is people praying.)
We kept praying and pretty soon I could twist a little and bend over in the chair slightly. My back muscles were relaxing and the pain kept easing away more and more. The more we prayed, the more the pain eased up, and the more I was able to move around. After about 30 minutes of prayer, I was up and walking around, bending over and touching my toes.

Now remember that 30 minutes before I was laying on the floor not really being able to move. Now I was standing and bending over to touch my toes. I then started RUNNING, yes RUNNING around the room! When I got to church that night, I slowly hobbled and limped my way into the building, but now I was literally running around the room! My back was totally healed!! The pain was totally gone, and I had complete mobility back!! Is that cool or what?!?!? I didn't have to go to the chiropractor and pay lots of money to have him pop my bones back in place. All we did was pray, and God healed my back. There were no tricks, no special gadgets; just God! God simply wanted to heal my back that night. He loves me so much that He didn't want me to be in pain any longer.

God is real, and He is amazing. God is still alive and powerful, and He wants to LOVE on you! He wants to heal your aches and pains. He wants to help you with your relationships. He wants to show you the depths of His heart for you and for the world. He wants to amaze you with the things He can do!! Please give Him the chance to show Himself to you. Just ask Him to show Himself to you in a personal way. Open your heart to the possibility that God really does YOU on a personal level.
